In celebration of Steelpan Month 2025, the Central Bank Auditorium will host the Steelpan Film Festival from August 18 to 22, offering audiences a rich cinematic journey into the history, artistry, and cultural significance of Trinidad and Tobago’s national instrument.
Under the theme “Our Sound, Our Stories,” the festival features five evenings of films and tributes dedicated to the pioneers, innovators, and communities that have shaped the steelpan movement.
Opening Night on Monday, August 18, kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with Panazz The Story.
The following night, Tuesday, August 19, pays tribute to Mark Loquan ORTT, featuring Siparia Deltones – Panyard Universe, The Man Behind the Music #1 with Duvone Stewart, and Women in Pan at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 20, honors Dr. Ray Holman with Pan on the Move, and also showcases The Ellie Mannette Story – A Destiny in Steel. Screenings start at 7:00 p.m.
On Thursday, August 21, Duvone Stewart returns to the screen with The Man Behind the Music #2, followed by Sounds Like Steel at 7:00 p.m.
The festival closes on Friday, August 22, with Pan Our Music Odyssey at 7:00 p.m.
